I wanted to put "perspire" in there to see if you'd notice, or I could have put "respire" for folks with other goals in life.

Aren't these cute? These canvases are painted on 18 count canvas and the little signs measure about 3.5 inches by 2. The finisher can make them into little rectangular boxes that will then float atop the post of the tiny display stand. We have 5 canvases and two stands (not limited editions, so we can order more) so who will get here first?

OTHER PRODUCTIVE JOBS TODAY:

I really missed the boat. David was very artsy-schmartzy in high school and really enjoyed his ceramics class. I should have put him to work producing buttons. I had to BUY these today and they'll come in a few weeks.

NEW SOCKS FOR YOU!

We have had a windfall of sock yarns. The hand-dyed yarns from Colinette, Punta, Ellyn Cooper and Cherry Tree Hill are in the top picture. A commercial yarn is shown in the basket. Feast your eyes on these by clicking on the image to make it larger. We have a COVER YOUR FOOT sale through Saturday, Feb. 26, so I hope that you can take advantage of this. The CTH will be more deeply discounted, as it has been here for awhile.

FIRST SHIPMENT FROM THE TRADE SHOW

EYE CANDY is a very contemporary line of hand painted needlepoint canvases created by ADA HAYDON. Her canvases are distributed by Ruth Schmuff. Now you have an opportunity to buy the designs in a counted canvas format. From upper left in clockwise fashion: Counted Puzzle, Orchid Maze, Stripes, Dots and Checks, and Alpine Puzzle. Feel free to change colors and fibers to your liking.

Orchid Maze finishes to 8 inches. The others are all 6 inches.

HOME, SWEET HOME!

I traveled to Long Beach, California for the trade show and succeeded in giving my biorhythm a challenge. It is such a waste of time to wake up at 4 AM! Although the rains had ended, the temperature was not where we had hoped to find it.

I have pictures to prove I was there, although I didn't do anything but meetings, classes, market and dine. Here's the Long Beach Aquarium that I walked by daily.

NEW COUNTED NEEDLEPOINT CLASS

I'm looking for counted cross stitchers who are looking for new horizons and needlepoint folks who are looking for an alternative to hand painted canvases. Class will meet on two consecutive Sunday afternoons from 1 - 3:30, January 30 and February 6. The class materials are $84.50, including your tacks and stretcher bars and the class fee is $25. Please stop in to see the class model in person. Other color ways are possible. Registration closes on January 18, as I need time to assemble your kits.
