NEW CANVASES WITHIN THE LAST MONTH

TRUNK SHOW - ERICA MICHAELS

We have 50 eye-popping models on display through Valentine's Day. These will be relished  by needlepointers and cross stitchers. Linda Stolz, the designer of ERICA MICHAELS does a fabulous job with the covers of her chart packs, but  seeing the stitched pieces in person is a totally different experience. Some of the models are on silk gauze and some are on linen. All are done in whole stitches, so you could do them on Aida, if that is your choice for fabric.

She kindly included a partially stitched piece on silk gauze, mounted so that you can see how that bit of preparation is done. It will also amaze you as to how large the holes in the gauze appear to be.

The models and supporting literature will be going on a road trip to Sturbridge with me to be at THE STITCHER'S HIDEAWAY  retreat for the following week. There is still room for people to sign up to attend the retreat for anywhere from two days to all 5 weekdays. I am simply the shop boutique to supply fun product for the group. Go to the Stitcher's  Hideaway to sign up to attend. It is a lot of fun.

ECO + HEMP SALE

This wonderful wool plus hemp is on sale through February 15. We have 10 colors, some natural browns and greys and then some nice dyed colors. The composition is 80% Peruvian wool and 20% hemp in a 328 yard hank put-up. Knitters will get 22-24 stitches per inch on a 5 or 6 needle and crocheters will get 14-17 st./inch using a 4.5-5 hook.

Hemp dries well and has natural antibacterial properties. While it softens with use, it will retain the shape and structure of a garment. You must hand wash and dry flat.

This is a Cascade yarn and they have many patterns on their website for this yarn and other yarns that work up to this gauge range.
Llamerino is the other sale yarn for us. It is a 50/50 Baby Llama and wool, 291 yard sport weight that would be luscious in a scarf or small shawlette. The hand is beautiful and the definition is wonderful.
Here it is shoehorned into two bins:
