She received it this morning and was going to take it to bridge this afternoon to show it off:

I saw just the wording with a line/border edge on Facebook on Saturday afternoon and got right to work between customers. That is a waffle stitch border over five on the edge. Finished stitching it on Sunday night and did the mounting on Monday night and mailed it on Tuesday morning. No one will have one just like it.

SHORT ROW CLASS

We have a lovely little cowl pattern that is a short row exercise. You might want to sign up for a single lesson on Tuesday nights from 7 - 9 PM with Nancy Fox. Short rows are an ingenious way to create more fabric in an area. It could be decorative as in creating a scalloped edge, or this darling little cowl. It could also be used in causing a knitted garment to fit better over a large bust or belly, without making the entire front piece of the garment larger. In other words, you are creating extra fabric ONLY where it is needed. 

The yarn used is a superwash from JoJoLand called Melody. Come in and choose the two colors that you want.

KNIT FASTER!

I haven't seen one out and about yet this spring. They are apparently smarter than some of our other back yard visitors. I should probably reread "WATERSHIP DOWN" and see if it is still as beguiling as it was when I was 24 years old.
